A retirement party deserves more than a card everyone signed in five minutes. Here are 10 funny retirement gifts that make the whole office laugh and still feel personal.
Quick answer: The funniest retirement gift is one you can play at the farewell party. Order a personalized video where an African crew holds up "Happy Retirement" with their name, shouts out your message and dances. It arrives by email in 1-2 days.
1. A personalized retirement video from our African crew
Put it on the big screen at the farewell party and watch the room. Our crew writes their name and your team's message on a board, holds up their photo and dances like it's the best day of their life, because for them, it kind of is.
- Team message: "No more Monday meetings, Bob!" or a heartfelt thank you
- Add their photo and we hold it up in the video
- Easy for groups: one person orders, the whole team chips in
- Delivered by email in 1-2 days, Priority within 24 hours
2. A retirement survival kit
Fill a box with a TV remote, a crossword book, slippers, a nap pillow and a "Do not disturb" sign. Label it "Retirement starter pack".
3. A "No more meetings" mug
A mug that says something like "Officially retired. Not my problem anymore." They'll drink coffee from it on every slow morning.
4. A bucket list journal
A guided journal for all the trips, hobbies and adventures they now finally have time for. Write the first entry for them as a team.
5. A 1,000-piece puzzle
Funny because it's true: now they actually have time to finish one. Bonus points for a puzzle made from a team photo.
6. A custom bobblehead
A bobblehead modeled on the retiree, maybe holding their famous coffee cup. It's the gift people keep on their shelf forever.
7. A hammock
The official uniform of retirement. Add a tag that says "Your new office".
8. Personalized golf balls
For the golfer: balls printed with a joke like "Retired. Gone golfing." or their name and retirement date.
9. A memory book from the team
Ask everyone for a photo and a funny memory, then collect them in a small book. Expect laughs and a few tears.
10. A class for the new hobby
Painting, cooking, guitar or dancing: a voucher for something they always wanted to learn gives them a fun first week of retirement.

Tips for a great retirement send-off
- Keep the jokes kind. Roast the job, not the person.
- Make it a group gift. Everyone chips in a little and the gift feels bigger.
- Plan the moment. Play the video during the speech, right before the cake.
